The Mother.Father Project
A Community based, community wide art program that requests
"a drawing of your mother and or father" to be made on blank side of a
Mother.Father postcard.
All of the returned drawings were exhibited and traveled
around charlottesville"s neighborhoods throughout the summer months of 2007. The opening reception for the
mobile gallery was friday April 6th, 2007 at the bridge art space, 209 Monticello Road. This
project was been greatly assisted by The Bridge as the first of many in their
new paradigms programs.
The intention of the Mother.Father Project is to create a venue in which all members of the community are welcome to view and participate in the creation of a large scale collaborative drawing exhibition.

If you would like to make an addition to the collection of drawings please make a drawing
of your mother and or father on a piece of white cardstock 4.25 by 5.5 inches, and mail it
